In her latest column, Alliah writes about how her goals in life have evolved. Her 10-year-old self dreamed of owning a credit card, while her adult self focused on raising a family. She illustrates how the evolution of her dreams coincides with her life with her husband, who has Hemophilia.

Here’s an excerpt: “The way out seems ironic at first, but it’s very effective. It’s accepting where I am in the here and now. I must acknowledge that things may not be good (and that’s not OK), accept that this is where I am now, remain calm, and carefully plan out my future actions in line with my desired outcome. This is radical acceptance.”

What do you think about this column? Can you relate to the concept of radical acceptance?
