Having a support system when raising a child with a bleeding disorder, can be life-changing. However, there are times when those who are closest to you have a difficult time understanding the illness. Sometimes family members are scared of the bleeding disorder and put distance between themselves and the patient and their family.

Have you encountered family or friends who are scared of your child’s condition? What advice can you give someone who has family members who refuse to make an attempt to understand the disorder?
