Laughing even amid hemophilia crises

Jared Formalejo, who has hemophilia B, and his wife, Alliah, live in the Philippines. They share a funny story about a hemophilia crisis.

Transcript

Alliah: Well, I’ve only actually been to the hospital with him one time because he used to get hospitalized more often when he was a kid. So that one time that I was in the hospital with him, it was actually a freak accident — a complete freak accident due to a pool slide.

Because we were just having fun that day, and he decided to go down the slide and somehow flipped over and his tooth went back into his skull. So the dentist had to pull it out, and he was on a crazy amount of anesthesia at that time. And he was talking really crazy, telling everyone, “Oh, my dad is an amazing doctor.” Because his dad is a doctor, actually.

Jared: I was fan-girling over my dad hard, and I have severe daddy issues.
