Infusing hemophilia meds attracts ridiculous comments

Jennifer Lynne has hemophilia B and lives in Florida. She shares one of the most ridiculous comments she gets when people find out she can start her own IVs.

Transcript

The treatment for hemophilia involves infusing factor products into a vein, which literally means you learn how to start an IV on yourself. So a ridiculous comment would be like, “What about drugs?” Right?

Like, if you know how to start an IV, if you were a drug user, that would be super convenient if you had hemophilia, which is ridiculous.

The fact that that’s how you infuse the medication —  I don’t do it in front of other people or let other people see that. I’m very private about it.
