The plan focuses on all aspects of an emergency, including putting together an evacuation or escape plan in case of severe weather or fire, packing a bag containing vital medications and supplies, along with some valuable health tips for people suffering from hemophilia.  The Centre suggests always wearing a medical alert bracelet, keeping ice packs in the freezer, teaching friends and family members how to administer medications and clotting factors, and keeping multiple copies of emergencies number to have at home, school, work, friends etc.

The emergency kit checklist has information relevant to the whole family and not just the person with hemophilia.
