The video explains that people often think the main issue for those who suffer from hemophilia is external cuts, but bleeding inside the joints and muscles is actually much more of a problem and can cause long-term damage.

People with hemophilia need to take preventative steps by injecting replacement factor. This can be done either several times a week or prior to an event where injury may occur, such as playing a sport.

The film goes on to explain what happens when bleeding occurs in the joints or muscles and how to spot an early-onset bleed.
