Shannon Walker, MD
Shannon Walker, MD, is an assistant professor of Pediatrics and Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology, and Hematology/Oncology at Vanderbilt University. She earned her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and specializes in transfusion medicine and pediatric hematology. Dr. Walker’s clinical interests are transfusion medicine, hemostasis and thrombosis, and pediatric hematology. She performs research through the Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology Department (Transfusion Medicine and Coagulation) and the Pediatric Department (Pediatric Hematology and Vanderbilt Vaccine Research Program). Her research focuses on pediatric hemostasis and thrombosis, predictive modeling, clinical trial design and execution, and hematology-related vaccine complications.
