Over time, as I’ve educated myself about my bleeding disorder, I feel like I can speak to my bleeding story with more confidence.
And I really think that when we have issues with our care teams, it’s because there’s a disconnect in the understanding of our bleeding story.
So understanding how to continually refine and share my bleeding story so that my providers understand what’s happening on a daily basis has been, I think, the single most thing that has boosted my confidence.
It’s one of the biggest recommendations I can give to anyone with a mild bleeding disorder. “Understand and share your bleeding story.”
